Dinah Emsalem is the founder of Paris New York Consulting which advises brands, retailers and investors on their strategy and operational excellence, with a particular focus on fashion, apparel and accessories. The firm prides itself in delivering both a strategic vision and very practical operational recommendations, up to managing performance and teams directly or side by side with the management when needed.

Dinah’s career is split between 13 years in finance (as an auditor at Arthur Andersen first and then as a private equity investor at the LBO firm Argos Soditic) and 15 years in retail and fashion, holding executive positions, notably as the global CEO of Claudie Pierlot, the head of Sandro and Maje for North America and the President of the Americas for Vilebrequin.

She has experienced fast expansion, structuring as well as turnaround business phases, particularly on the European and North American markets. She has a recognized retail expertise and has operated brands through all channels and models, including direct to consumer, wholesale, concession, and franchise, and both physical and digital.

Dinah combines a data-driven approach with strong people and management skills and is a passionate transformation agent.

She also teaches at Parsons The New School in the Strategic and Design Management curriculum.

She graduated from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris and holds an Executive MBA from HEC Paris.
